Pet Loss Therapy in Long Beach

I am a lifelong animal lover with a deep empathy for the love and impact our non-human companions have on us. We live in a world where not everyone understands this connection, and loss of a loved pet or furry (or feathered or scaly) baby can be misunderstood and feel isolating. We need support when we lose loved ones, and it's important that we have support from others who "get" it and don't minimize the pain.

I have professional training on grief and loss as a psychotherapist, as well as extensive personal experience of having deep connections to and losses of cherished animals. I am also the lady who will catch the cockroach and put him outside, take the injured bird in the road to the vet, or chase down a dog in flip flops to make sure they are safe and sound. Long before entering the mental health realm, I worked as a shelter intern for Farm Sanctuary, and worked/volunteered with animals in smaller capacities.

There is often a lot of grief that comes in working with animals. I love working with animal parents and animal professionals, as they often have a similar way of seeing the world. If any of this speaks to you, feel free to contact me. Sending love and light to anyone holding the pain of losing their beloved.
